NaviLens
Paws on the Wharf will be using NaviLens technology to support people with sight loss to experience the trail.
NaviLens is a new and exciting accessibility technology. These colourful codes were created to help people who are blind or partially sighted access important information about their surroundings. NaviLens codes are unique in that they can be detected from much further away, at extreme angles and much quicker than normal codes. Simply download the NaviLens App for free, scan the codes and enjoy.
Using NaviLens on the trail
Our sculptures will be located within five Areas throughout Canary Wharf. These locations are detailed on the trail map, in the braille and large format guides and on the 'Visiting the trail' web page.
Each sculpture has a NaviLens code on the sculpture plinth.
Each Area starting location is by the first sculpture within that Area. You'll be able to use the NaviLens App to scan the code on the first sculpture and listen to the information about the design and the artist. NaviLens will then provide directional information for the next sculpture within the Area, which will then have the next NaviLens code to scan.
